Jayapal Announces Federal Grants to University of Washington for Health Research
WASHINGTON D.C. – The Department of Health and Human Services will grant more than $800,000 to the University of Washington for research on vascular diseases as well as improving outcomes for amputees.
“I’m proud and grateful that HHS continues to support pioneering health researchers in Washington’s 7th District,” said Rep. Jayapal.
HHS is granting $471,868 to the University of Washington for research on improving outcomes for individuals with lower limb amputation.
In a separate grant, HHS is awarding $387,188 to a University of Washington team studying calcification and vascular cell differentiation.
