Jayapal Delivers Millions in Funding to District

Robust relief package includes more than $285 million for WA-07 and nearly $7 billion for communities throughout the state

WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) fought to secure a robust COVID-19 relief package that will deliver more than $285 million in state and local funding to Washington’s Seventh Congressional District and nearly $7 billion to communities throughout the Evergreen State. Additionally, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 includes more than $437 million for King County and more than $159 million for Snohomish County.

“Local communities throughout Washington and across our country have been hit hard during this unprecedented public health and economic crisis that has left millions of families struggling to put food on the table, keep the heat on, pay the rent, and withstand this devastation,” said Congresswoman Jayapal. “I am proud to have fought for this relief package to not only put money directly in people’s pockets but to invest millions of dollars into their communities through robust state and local funding.”

The comprehensive relief package’s more than $285 million in state and local funding for Washington’s Seventh Congressional District includes the following for communities across the region:

  • Seattle: $239 million
