Jayapal Releases Comprehensive 2018 Infrastructure Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal released a 2018 Infrastructure Report on 28 projects that will strengthen infrastructure and transportation systems across Washington’s 7th Congressional District and the greater Seattle region.

“The Trump Administration continues to neglect our infrastructure needs. They are all talk, no action. We need a bold infrastructure plan that puts people to work, invests in our transportation and infrastructure needs, and prioritizes the health of our businesses and communities,” said Jayapal. “I’m proud to release our second annual infrastructure report, spotlighting critical transportation and environmental needs in our district that I am prioritizing.”

“We have significant challenges to make sure the 7th District is livable, sustainable and welcoming,” Jayapal continued. “Our investments this year will be key to ensuring we rise to those challenges. From roads, pedestrian bridges, bike lanes, streetcars, light rail, parks and ports to waterways in cities across the district, I fully support the projects described in this report and will fight to fund them at the federal level.”

The report was compiled in consultation with various stakeholders including local municipal, county and state officials in the greater Seattle area. Completion of these infrastructure projects will support and grow our local economy.

The 2018 Infrastructure Report outlines project proposals that 7th District community members and leaders have identified as federal funding priorities, and features a project map of the district.
